We are 2 brothers that have enjoyed fishing with our families for years and have a passion for helping create great memories on the water for more anglers. We created BITCO Custom Rods to bring a better-quality rod and fishing experience to the market.
Bear Island Story
Bear Island represents fun times fishing and playing with family and friends. We have enjoyed many days on the water on Leech Lake around Bear Island at our nearby family cabin. We hatched this business idea while fishing off the island and launched BITCO in 2021.
Handcrafted Quality
We meticulously source only the highest quality components in the industry and build our rods in a small shop in Horace, North Dakota. We test all of our rods by hand on the water before launching the finished product. We also believe this requires a team effort and have an expert team of Brand Ambassadors that help us test and refine our rods.
Our Beginnings
BITCO originally launched as a marine service shop located in Horace, ND. We service all makes and models with custom flooring options, electronics sales and rigging, trolling motor sales and installation, and lead or lithium battery sales and installation.
